Latest from Nevada

I'm not feeling particularly creative today, but I thought I'd let you know how sis #3 (or #2, if you count from youngest to oldest) is doing today. It's one of those emotional weeks for me. I kind of miss everyone. And, no, we're not out on some far away, foreign island (ah 'hem) but I still get lonely sometimes out here in good 'ol Reno... and I also miss not having any kids around. But don't get any crazy ideas - Eric and I are not having kids for a long, long time. I mean, really - at the rate we're going to get married - who knows... we'll probably be 40 before the first tyke comes a kickin. But we're in no rush... we just want to spoil everyone else's kids...

Eric might be getting a new job. He is applying for a safety position at a company that his friend works for. Eric is really interested in the field. Last year, there was a possibility that he'd get a job with my dad's (MY dad, girls... Mine - hee hee!) construction company as a safety coordinator, however that hasn't gone through yet. However, Eric had started to study the field and went out on site with dad a few times.... he kind of digs it! So, dad introduced us to his friend that works on the insurance part of safety (basically goes out to inspect sites to determine insurance qualifications, etc.) - Anyway... there's an opening at this dude's work now (his name is Curtis) and Eric is applying. Eric went for an interview last week, however the HR Manager (who is from Las Vegas) had to split just before he got there, due to a family emergency. However, it was in Eric's favor...we think. See - Eric was going to be interviewed by Curtis (yes, the dude that's our friend) and this HR lady... but since she was unable to meet with Eric, the company told Curtis to interview him on his own. Since then, Eric has also met with the VP of the company (who was totally unprofessional and proceeded to tell Eric that after a year working with his company, other companies will be looking for him to work for them but for more money...what a dummie). Anyway, they said they need to do a background check and check references, otherwise they'll be sending him an offer letter in the mail. We'll see though - we're not getting excited until we see something in writing. Wish us luck!!! :)

Jasmine is doing good. She's such a cutie. She hates the cold weather though. I love it because she becomes my little cuddle bug. She is so cute.... she sleeps next to me at night (under the blankets and right by my side) and a few nights ago, she had stretched out and twisted to the side and ended up lying on her back, with her arms stretched out and ACROSS MY NECK... Yeah, it felt like I had a noose around my neck - a little constricting - but it was so darn cute... I didn't care if my esophagus was lodging out of the back of my neck and into the mattress.... I love my little girl....

That's it from Reno for now. But check back often - our lives are about as exciting as seeing George Jones live in concert (sorry Georgie fans)!

Paige Has The Greates Aunties!!!

Wow... Just got a package from Ang & Rachel for Paige (mostly) and she loooovvvees it! She got a Barney DVD, which she watches 24-7. She even woke up early this morning and said "Bawney" and jumped on the couch with her blankie. Although, I think it is driving Ed insane. He said Barney makes him angry. Especially when you have to hear his "stuffed up" voice over and over and over and over... :) Thanks a lot guys! She also got a Little Mermaid popup tent, which she absolutely loves, but I think it's missing some pieces, so it keeps falling when she gets in it, and says "I bwoke it" "mommy, I bwoke it". But, it's great 'cause she can roll around in it, screaming and laughing.

Paige has the greatest aunties... well, at least two of them. Auntie Mary still owes us gifts from 10 years ago. Don't forget Auntie Mary... I'm keeping track! :)

I Had Triplets

Last night I had a dream that I was in a public bathroom and went into labor on the toilet. Out came three babies- I had triplets! But, they came out like clay, and one of the babies' foot broke off. The doctor who was there didn't say anything, and just walked out. Angie came in to help me and she helped me put the babies' foot back on. We were both soo pissed off at the doctor that just left and we yelled at her the rest of the dream. Thanks so much for your help Ang! See... this is what sisters are for: put your babies' feet back together when they come off. I miss you Ang! :(

Yes, Four Is Enough!

Okay, so now that we are all scattered all over the place, this is one place where the 4 dorkiest girls can still be together. Once we figure this blog out, we can write the dumbest stuff ever and crack our heads up.... just like at home!

Four Dorky Sisters

This site is about us four sisters: Heidi, Mary, Angela & Rachel (in order of coolness). We are huge dorks. No really, we are huge, huge dorks.

We grew up so close in age and in the same house, yet we are so very different. We have different lives now and have different perspectives on our past. But, whenever we get together we cannot stop laughing our heads off (and snorting!)

So, if you want to experience life as a Smith girl (or formerly Smith), read our blog and live life on the dorky side.

... see- I told you!
